Steep Me in Spirit
I want to be immersed in spirit. I want to sit with the Universe. The Cosmos. ALL THAT IS. The best way I know how is by being outside in nature or creative in my craft and endeavors.
I want to be like a tea bag, steeped in the knowledge and wisdom of the Universe. My own knowledge as a spirit mingling with what I’m learning as a human. As I deepen my understanding, I become more of the Universe and it becomes more of me. I want to fill my ears with more of the mystical and esoteric. I want to sit on the earth and feel the support system trees have beneath them. I want to be in a clearing in a forest surrounded by animals. I want to receive all the signs, symbols, and songs.
I just want to be infused. Shrouded.
This thought has frequently crossed my mind lately as I’ve resumed my regular routine of pulling cards, engaging in my personal rituals, rearranging my altar, and surrounding myself with unconventional thinkers. I find that exploring and embracing the vast unknowns that exist beyond our current knowledge brings a sense of wonder and curiosity. I’m particularly drawn to philosophical thought and engaging in conversations that delve into different realities, probabilities, and ideas.
While contemplating the above words, I couldn’t help but wonder, “Where, how, or what could immerse me in a way that truly captivates me?” How can I establish a profound connection with the soul and the spiritual energies that reside within it? Instantly, I was reminded of the significance of creativity. At the very core of the Universe lies an inherent creative energy. Among the purest and most astonishing aspects of our existence is the presence of creativity. Humans, plants, animals, and life itself are all born from creation, as are many of our ideas, inventions, communities, and so on. Through the same means, we can connect with our healing, with energy, and with each other.
Creative energy isn’t some far removed thing that lives outside of ourselves in a way where we ask permission to be led or guided by it. Creative energy is something that lives deep within ourselves.
Is there anything creatively fulfilling that you’ve been wanting to explore? Perhaps you don’t consider yourself visually or artistically inclined, but you’re curious about crafting or drawing. Or maybe you’ve always wanted to create or learn how to create music. Perhaps you try a new game that allows you to create a world, decorate a home, or create recipes for imaginary customers’ enjoyment. The possibilities are endless! Maybe you try something new each week or month that allows your creativity to shine through.
If you’re someone who loves a little spell or ritual, here’s something simple:
Grab a cinnamon stick from the grocery store or online and burn it as you would sage or paleo santo. Walk around your house, going from North to East, then South to West. Be sure to get your mirrors, doors, and circle the smoke a bit around yourself. This can bring in creativity, abundance, money, protection, and enhance the overall energy of your space. Open the doors and windows to allow unwanted energy to exit.
