You’re the Alchemist
In yesterday evening’s yoga class, I decided to pull a couple of cards. Interestingly enough, this oracle card came out twice. Once when I was shuffling cards before class and another time when I was actually pulling cards at the beginning of class. When I think of the meaning of this card, I also think of The Magician from the Tarot. The Magician often reminds us that we have everything at our disposal to make something happen. Often times, we feel like we need specific ingredients to see a certain outcome, but The Magician teaches us to be creative with our ingredients. Maybe part of the magic is putting things together that we otherwise might not have thought of. Instead of running to the store for XYZ, we’re using what we have on hand. Some of the best alchemists utilize what they have. Some of the strongest spells and best inventions come from intention rather than following the recipe to a T.
So today, think about how you can use what you have at your disposal. If there’s something you’ve been meaning to do but you’ve been waiting because you don’t have this or that, give yourself some time to really sit and meditate on how you can start now and use what you have! I hear so often, “I want to ____ but I have to wait until ____,” and I can often come up with 10 ways that ____ can be started immediately. It’s not always about having all the moving pieces and parts situated. Sometimes I think we psych ourselves out and delay our progress by waiting for all of those moving pieces and parts. The real issue here is beginning. So begin!
Otherwise, this card speaks to the fear that maybe some of these moving parts aren’t moving according to plan. Maybe you feel like it’s going to take a miracle before you can truly feel well and at ease within your life. Maybe that miracle starts with you, your mindset, and what you can do now. How can you participate in the progress of this “miracle” you’re waiting on? The future version of yourself that’s doing whatever you see for yourself, what are they doing? What are their habits? What events are they going to? What are they building? What’s their routine like? Tap in with that version of you and ask them questions. They’re not too far out of reach!
Know your why! Show up!
